BioCharacter Name: Uzumaki Kushina.
Series: Naruto.
Gender: Female.
Age: Twenty.
Species: Human.
Sexuality: Heterosexual; married, even if she's still going by her maiden name [Kushina's opinion is that Minato should take her name!]
Appearance: Kushina is neither particularly tall nor particularly short; she falls comfortably inbetween. Of all her features, her hair is the most noticable - it's red and very, very long, and she usually just clips it to one side to keep the most of it from her eyes [which are the same shade of blue as her husband's, although Kushina will usually insist that her eyes are brighter. clearly]. Her attire is a black apron-dress over an orange dress, although she'd usually wear something different for, you know, missions - but she'd been off duty when she was hauled through [and had, thanks for asking, just delivered a baby] and therefore isn't up to her usual standards of attire.
Kushina would like to point out that while she would normally have kunai and shuriken and what-have-you, there is nothing.
She would like her weapons back, please.
It's usually quite clear what Kushina is feeling. She's the sort of person who wears her heart on her face, and it's not something that's likely to change easily. As for what sort of shape she's in - despite her recent pregnancy, Kushina has remained as active as ever, and her sort of lifestyle...well, it just rather requires good health.
Personality: Kushina is quite the fiery woman. Despite growing into a 'beautiful woman', her heart remains very much that of the tomboy child she was - even if she's a bit more mature for it. She's impulsive, reckless, and brutally honest; Kushina isn't the sort of person who gets 'second thoughts' - or not often, anyway. And when she does get them she usually ignores them - with disastrous or miraculous results. She's not about to beat around any bushes or lie about what's on her mind - if you ask her a question [or don't, for that matter, as she's just as likely to offer up her opinion free of charge] she'll tell you exactly what she thinks, good or bad.
She's usually noted to be loud and talkative - and while Minato and age have calmed her down a bit, she's still noted to be as such. Kushina talks to anyone and everyone - and even if she's insulted, she'll probably keep talking to whomever it was. After, you know, getting upset and maybe throwing a temper tantrum [which usually involves her fist + their face, but you get the idea].
Kushina is ridiculously determined and competitive - she can't stand losing, although she'll instantly drop anything petty or small or ridiculous when it comes down to serious business. She just can't help herself, honestly. And if she fails at something? Well, then she'll try again.
And again.
And again.
And so on and so forth. Kushina isn't the sort of person to give up. Ever. At all.
She's loyal to the same extent - once someone has won her friendship or respect, they've got it. No matter what anyone else says - and they'd better not be saying it around Kushina, if they've any desire to get out of the place without a fight. Or an argument. Or a very irate redhead being generally irritating. She places everyone she cares about before herself, and would willingly sacrifice herself for any of them - and even perfect strangers. Or people she really, really dislikes. It's just the sort of person she is.
Abilities: Kushima has the abilities of a jounin ninja, specializing in water-based jutsus, but most specifically specializing in weapons. [Which, she would like to point out again, she no longer has. And wants back] Her speed and strength are, as is usual, above that of an average person, and she picks up new jutsus and attacks with astonishing speed - something she clearly passed onto her son.
Since coming to this new world [which, for the record, is not nice at all, in Kushina's opinion] she's lost all the weapons she had on her [Which is clearly a big grievance, from all her complaining], and probably cannot preform more than two or three jutsus a day. I'd assume her speed and strength have fallen a bit, but she's probably still above the average human being.
And if she finds any weapons, she can probably throw them pretty damn straight. Or bash something's head in. One of the two.
Weaknesses: Kushina is sort of ridiculously adept at getting herself into trouble - mostly due to a failure to think before she speaks/acts and a tendancy to say anything and everything that comes to mind. Often rudely. And loudly. Even if Minato is there to get her out of it half of the time, he can't be around all the time.
While she's able to pick up on new skills easily, Kushina is not the most observant person ever. When it was said Naruto got her personality, it was true - she's pretty dense and can jump to conclusions more often than not, or completely misunderstand things - but her heart is in the right place, and that makes up for it. Sometimes. Mostly?
She's more likely to go with her emotions than she is to go with reason - if she has to make a terrible choice in order to protect or save someone she cares for? She will. And she'd probably make the same exact choice for someone she didn't care for. Without thinking twice.
Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider - and terribly upset about being pulled into god-knows-where without all her pretty weapons.
She's mostly upset about the weapons bit. And the husband and newborn child suddenly missing bit. You know.
History: Kushina's canon history is both simple and short: She's a ninja from the Land of Whirlpool, and she somehow ended up getting with Minato to have baby Naruto. Whom they named after a character in one of Jiraya's books, because they wanted him to be a ninja like that - determined, strong. Sometime between having said baby and said baby getting a demon sealed inside his belly Kushina, presumably, died. We're going with that, as it's been made pretty clear Naruto has no living relatives.
Sometime between that death and after having that baby, Kushina woke up in the City She Hates without any of her weapons. Or her baby.
She's not pleased.
